Everyone knows I’m a big fan of macarons. Not only do I eat them with great pleasure, but I also know how to make them. The creation of macarons is both a time consuming and delicate process so my socks were knocked right off when I saw this cake made primarily of one huge, perfect macaron. WOW. And then to top it with fresh fruit just put it over the top - double WOW.
This creation, from my new favorite dessert website Sprinkle Bakes, was made from Laduree: Sucre The Recipes. Laduree is THE definition of macaron perfection, straight from Paris, so you know this baby tasted even better than it looked. I would never dare to try to re-create this masterpiece but boy do I love looking at it and dreaming about it - and going to have macarons at Laduree someday. Add that to the world travels + culinary indulgence bucket list!
