Ahoy Mateys! It’s finally Talk Like A Pirate Day 2012!
I know you’ve all been waiting for this fabulous day when you can make all kinds of terrible pirate puns in a voice vaguely reminiscent of Captain Jack Sparrow.
In an effort to take the “holiday” to a whole new level this year, Krispy Kreme is getting in on the game. If you go into an KK location today and talk like a pirate to the good folks at the counter you will receive one free donut. Yes, really.
There’s no connection between donuts and pirates, but I applaud KK for completely ignoring that fact and just going for it. There’s only one National Donut Day per year, and that’s far behind us now so let’s shout a rousing Arrrr! or Aye! Aye! and embrace free donuts.
