Thanks to my nephew Jack, I’ve learned that the classic game Candyland has changed since I first played it as a kid, but it is still fun (even if Jack, well, basically cheats to ensure he wins) and still deserves it’s very own party theme. Seeing a cake like this make me want to BE a kid again, or have one of my own so I have the perfect excuse to have a Candyland themed party. In the meantime I look forward to playing a few more rounds with Jack to keep me sharp.

Sunday is officially Cake Day on my blog!
What do you think of this fun, fabulous cake that I came across?  I think it could be just right for the 10-year re-commitment wedding celebration Jeremy has promised we can throw in 2021. It’ll be carnival themed so this cake seems to fit the bill. Thoughts?
(Sorry, I should have a blog/photo credit for this but I don’t recall where I came across this. I vow to do a better job of siting my sources in the future.)

Rainbows for Everyone

In honor of the rainbow being constructed in Culver City, just blocks from my home, at Sony Studios I wanted to post some sweet rainbows for everyone’s visual consumption.  I can see why some might find this work of public art to be a ‘waste’ of money but I personally have never seen a rainbow that didn’t brighten my day and mood. Public art is a wonderful thing and I’m proud to be living in a part of Los Angeles that supports it and their local businesses.
